Description Clark Hull and Pavlov's theory of learning is often used in psychology, or at least in general education. In this article the author seeks to identify the significance of the theories of these two figures for the practice of Islamic education today. This article is qualitative in literature review. By comparing Hull and Pavlov's thoughts, the authors found that the two theories allowed students to learn about the things they were doing contextually. The author argues, the concept is in line with the 2013 curriculum where the orientation includes three aspects; knowledge (knowledge), attitude (attitude), and skills (skills) are integrated. Therefore, in the context of Islamic education, learning is not only based on concepts and doctrines about Islam itself, but must be applied and accustomed to in everyday life.
