Schools have long been trusted by many people as a place to get education. Education is a learning process through knowledge, skills and habits carried from one generation to another. This trust is accompanied by giving the school responsibility to provide a comfortable and safe environment for students. However, during the pandemic, face-to-face learning in schools is impossible, because the government has issued a policy through the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely optimizing online learning and self-study at home, this may be one of the government's efforts so that educational goals can be achieved, over time. This policy has not yet produced optimal results, especially for children living in mountainous areas, especially in the hamlet of Gegunung, Waleran village. Expensive quotas, difficult signal networks accompanied by the limitations of not having an Android cellphone are one of the problems that occur when learning is carried out online, plus the assistance provided by parents at home is very lacking due to lack of public awareness of the importance of education due to low educational background, children -children who should learn to be out of control, they often spend time playing to their heart's content so that they forget their duties as a student, this causes the effectiveness and learning objectives not to be achieved. Children are the nation's assets and buds, in their hands the future of this nation is determined, therefore all potentials, interests and talents need to be developed as optimally as possible. Starting from this, we students of the IAINU TUBAN KKN 2020 group of 10 took the initiative to build an effective and fun learning community through nature schools with the aim of optimizing teaching and learning activities, through the process of playing while learning in the wild, children will gain knowledge through good experience and understanding. meaning. Natural schools are schools that provide educational facilities with the concept of developing character education naturally. The uniqueness of the natural school compared to conventional schools is in the visual spatial, kinesthetic and naturalist elements. Nature-based alternative schools have differences with formal schools. But that does not mean without a competency curriculum. Nature-based alternative schools still have positive values, as an effort to foster independence from an early age, open creative awareness as widely as possible, and provide learning about collaboration. Teaching and learning activities in nature schools can raise awareness in children that learning is a fun activity. Learning in the wild will create a pleasant atmosphere without pressure and atmosphere and far from boredom. |
