Do daily recording include age larvae, the larvae conditions, the use of algae, rotifers density, artemia density, the use of artificial feed, change the water, siphon, water quality include temperature, DO, pH and Nitrite. Before entering the area of ​​detergent and disinfectant hand washed using 70% alcohol, so also when out of a hatchery. After the morning activities floorspace sprayed fresh water, and once a week dikaporit work floor. The production equipment (slang siphon, siphon stick, dipper, bucket, grading and other equipment) soaked in 10 ppm chlorine solution for 15 minutes then washed with detergent and rinsed freshwater. The results of field observations indicate an increase Survival Rate of 7.5-10% to 17-20% with the quality of the fish that defects decreased from 5 -7% to 1.5 - 2%. Faster growth of fish where the total length parameter on the D-60 increased from 2.5 - 3 cm to 2.8 to 3.7 cm.
Penerapan cara pembenihan ikan Kerapu Tikus (Cromileptes altivelis) yang baik  diawali  pengeringan bak selama 3 hari, pemberian disinfektan berupa kaporit  dengan dosis 150 ppm selama 2 hari, setelah itu  bak dicuci dengan detergen dan dibilas air tawar. Sebelum digunakan air laut  disaring dengan filterbag dan ditreatmen menggunakan becarbon  10 tablet/m3. Telur kerapu tikus bebas penyakit (Spesific Patogen Free) dipastikan dengan analisa  PCR di laboratorium Penyakit dan Lingkungan BBAP Situbondo. Dilakukan pencatatan harian meliputi umur larva, kondisi larva, penggunaan algae, kepadatan rotifer, kepadatan artemia, penggunaan pakan buatan, ganti air, siphon, kualitas air yang meliputi suhu, DO, pH dan Nitrit.  Sebelum masuk area  tangan dicuci  detergen dan disinfektan menggunakan alkohol 70 %, begitu juga saat keluar dari unit pembenihan. Setelah kegiatan pagi lantai kerja disemprot air tawar, dan seminggu sekali lantai kerja  dikaporit. Peralatan produksi (slang siphon, stick siphon, gayung, ember, peralatan grading  dan lainnya) direndam dalam larutan kaporit  10 ppm selama 15 menit kemudian dicuci dengan detergen dan dibilas  air tawar. Hasil pengamatan dilapangan menunjukkan peningkatan Survival Rate dari 7,5-10 % menjadi 17-20  % dengan kualitas ikan yang cacat menurun dari 5 -7 % menjadi  1,5 - 2  %. Pertumbuhan ikan lebih cepat dimana parameter panjang total pada D-60 meningkat dari 2,5 – 3 cm menjadi 2,8 – 3,7 cm.
