Description The modern era that continues to grow today, coming from the West supported by the advancement of science and technology that continues to grow, at least since the renaissance and aufklarung turned out, in addition to giving a positive impact, also gave birth to negative impacts such as secularism, hedonism, materialism, individualism as well as the alienation that plagues the human race. This is due to the modernization backed by ”science” which leads to excessive rationalism and leads to the adoption of the role of religion to secularism. As a result, modernism has been heavily criticized and highlighted. There is a group that criticizes by trying to find the root of the problem in the mind or the modern paradigm itself. They are convinced that the secular culture on which western cultural products are based is at the root of the problem of modern life which must be solved. The rise of the spiritual movement as a symptom of religious upheaval is a clear indication of the rediscovery of the meaning and purpose of vague life due to modernization. On this side of religion is required to play an active role to be used as a basic reference in overcoming the crisis that occurred
