Description The study of the Qur'an has appealed to Muslim scholars since the early days of Islam as well as to orientalists in line with Robert D. Lee's definition in Overcoming Tradition and Modernity. The Major Themes of the Qur'an mentions 3 (three) types of orientalist works in the study of the Qur'an. First, the work that wants to prove the influence of the Qur'an by the Jewish and Christian traditions. Second, the work that wants to try to make a chronological series of verses from the Qur'an. Third, works that aim to explain the whole or certain aspects in the teachings of the Qur'an. Contemporary Western Scholarship continues to grow and thrive. Every year and even month there are always books and academic articles published. Gabriel Said Reynolds describes the study of the Qur'an in the West in recent years as the Golden Age of Qur'anic Studies. This article examines anyone who has contributed to the study of the Qur'an specifically in the Western scholarly climate. By reviewing all of the above issues, the purpose of this article is to take advantage of the contributions made by Western scholarship in the study of the Qur'an, in particular for the progress of Muslims and the progress of Islamic studies in the rich treasures of the study of the holy book in general and inter-religious studies. inter-religious studies) today.
