Description In this paper, we will examine how non-formal education contributes toreviving and implementing the concept of life long education, because it is a part of the education system which has a very important role in the service of life long education, which is very much needed now and in the future. Non- formal education units consist of course institutions, training institutions, study groups, community learning centers (PKBM), and majelis taklim, and similar education units. As is well known, students learn about the world of formal education and their learning is limited to certain times, at that time also, students in learning control, meaning that all academic activities are monitored directly by the teachers or educators.But as stated at the outset, the learning time is limited, after school, the teacher's task seems to have been completed in escorting the learners, the only one who can be relied upon is parents who are tasked with controlling and supervising them in learning. But with various reasons that emerged such as busyness, educational background and so on. So education must always get serious escort while the student lives, the education control relay baton must not break up only during school hours, but must also be passed on to parents, if parents are unable, then it can be thrown at tutors who located in non-formal institutions that are now popping up by including students in these institutions.The concept of lifelong education by utilizing non-formal educational institutions will supply energy and enthusiasm that humans should not stop learning even though age has begun to increase, because in this concept education does not recognize age and place, because humans are created as human learners who must not be bored and stop to learn.
