Description The government tries to apply decentralist approach in education or people usually called School Based Management (SBM). This decentralized system is applying active, joyful and effective method in the teaching and learning process. Based on the explanation above, the researcher analyzes this system in order to know the AJEL implementation at SDN Kurungrejo III and everything that influence the AJEL implementation, so the research focus is how does the teacher implement AJEL approach in teaching English to the students in SDN Kurungrejo III. The researcher uses qualitative research with case study approach and data collection method that is used in this research are in-depth interview, participant observation and documentation. The result of the research is the teacher has implemented AJEL in English teaching and learning well enough. The teacher applies this method as the step needed, she makes syllabus, teaching plan before conducting the teaching and learning process, she also active to develop her plan together the other teacher from other school at the cluster. The teacher has good cooperation with the parents, it is shown by the parent program under coordination of teacher
