Description There are still many problems with the personality of teachers in educational institutions today. There are many cases of teachers who lack good personalities such as not showing exemplary and so on, so that students find it difficult to find their role models. This study aims to describe the personality competencies of Imam Ghazali's perspective teachers in the Book of Ihya 'Ulumuddin. This type of research uses library research. The results of the study show that there are 4 aspects related to the personality of a teacher, namely: 1) aspects related to the heart, namely the teacher must set his intentions first; 2) aspects related to God, namely that a teacher must be zuhud (not prioritize wages); 3) aspects related to himself, namely, a teacher must be honest and be an example for his students and respect the knowledge that is occupied by other teachers; and 4) aspects related to students, namely, compassion for students, always advising students.
