Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of compensation on motivation, the impact of compensation on employee performance, the impact of motivation on employee performance, and the impact of compensation on employee performance through motivation. The populations of this research are all the regular staff in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, District Office of Surabaya and the sample has assigned in 102 respondents. The sampling method that treated in this research is cluster random sampling which means that select the sampling technique that has taken towards unit of sampling (individual), where the sampling of unit lies in the one group (cluster). Each of the units in the chosen group will be taken as random sample. The type of research is confirmatory research, which aims to confirm the theory. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) has treated as the data analysis in research. The result of the study shows that compensation have positive and significance effect on employee performance and motivation , the motivation have positive and significance effect on employee performance and the compensation have positive and significance effect on employee performance through motivation in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, District Office of Surabaya. Keywords: Compensation ; Motivation ; Employee Performance Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak kompensasi terhadap motivasi, dampak kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan, dampak motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan dampak kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua staf tetap di PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Kantor Distrik Surabaya dan sampel telah ditugaskan di 102 responden. Metode pengambilan sampel yang diolah dalam penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling yang artinya memilih teknik pengambilan sampel yang telah diambil menuju unit sampling (individu), dimana pengambilan sampel unit berada pada satu kelompok (cluster). Setiap unit dalam kelompok yang dipilih akan diambil sebagai sampel acak. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian konfirmatori, yang bertujuan untuk mengkonfirmasi teori. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) telah diperlakukan sebagai analisis data dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dan motivasi karyawan, motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dan kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi di PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Kantor Distrik Surabaya. Kata kunci: Kompensasi; Motivasi; Kinerja karyawan |
