Description Islamic law is derived from the Qur'an and hadith as the first sources, which fiqh scholars then studied. Islamic law has an interpretive character for the Qur'an. So that the interpretation which is in line with the character of Islamic law becomes easier to understand. This article discusses the study of the characteristics of Islamic law and its interpretation of the Koran. This study is motivated by the impression that the science of fiqh and the science of the Qur'an operate independently and are not interrelated. In this study, it is discussed that the character of Islamic law is very influential on Fiqh law. The author uses a discretive method of analysis of the philosophy of Islamic law. The result is that the character of Islamic law and the Koran interpretation are very influential by discussing the verse directly for study.
