Description ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of interest and motivation in attending tax brevet training a and b on career choices as a tax accountant. The population in this study were all accounting students class 2016 Islamic University of Malang. The sample used was some accounting students class 2016 Islamic University of Malang. The technique used in sampling is purposive sampling technique, the sample chosen is 137 respondents. The data were collected using a questionnaire method. The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS software version 14 (Statistical Products and Service Solutions version 14). The test data used were simultaneous hypothesis testing (f), determination coefficient (R2), and partial hypothesis testing (t). The results showed that the independent variable simultaneously had a significant effect on the dependent variable. Based on the coefficient of determination test results, the value of Adjusted R2 Square is 88.9%, while the remaining 11.1% is influenced by other variables not included in this study. Based on the results of the partial test, all variables have an influence on the choice of a career as a tax accountant, interest and motivation to attend training have a positive effect on career choices as a tax accountant.Keywords: Interests, Motivation to Join Tax Brevet Training and Career Options as a Tax Accountant
