Description ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to analyze and find out about what factorsinfluence accounting students in choosing a career as a Public Accountant.Factors that influence career selection to become a Public Accountant aremeasured by variable financial / salary rewards, professional recognition, socialvalues, personality, labor market considerations, work environment, and intrinsicvalue of work. Primary data in this study was obtained by conducting research onaccounting students of Malang Islamic University, with a total sample of 71students. The analytical tool used in this study is multiple regression analysis. Theresults of the study show that financial / salary reward factors, professionalrecognition, social values, personality, labor market considerations, workenvironment and intrinsic value of work simultaneously have a significant effecton accounting students in choosing a career as a public accountant. Partiallyvariable financial / salary rewards and intrinsic value of work have a significanteffect on accounting students in choosing a career as a public accountant.Whereas professional recognition, social values, personality, labor marketconsiderations, and work environment have no significant effect on accountingstudents in choosing a career as a public accountant..Keywords : financial reward / salary, professional recognition, social values,personality, labor market considerations, work environment, andthe intrinsic value of work and career choice became PublicAccountant
