Description ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to know how to discriminate into a banking health level with a CAMELS method to the banking companies that are registered in the Indonesian Stock Market of 2014-2017. The populations and samples at this study are as many as 81 banking companies registered in the Indonesian Stock exchange. Sample pick-up techniques on this study by using Purposive Sampling. The data analysis of study USES23 version of the help. The indicators used in the CAMELS are CAR (Capital Adquacy Ratio), NPL (Non Performing Loan), BOPO (Operating Expense and Operating Income), NPM (Net Interes Margin), ROA (Return On Asset), ROE (Return On Equity), LDR (Long to Deposit Ratio), and IER (Interest Expanse Ratio). Testing the data on this study using discriminatory analysis.The result of this study indicate that the variable CAR and ROA are significantly significant so that both of them are very much potential in the form of a discriminatory variable. Whereas the NPL, BOPO, NPM, ROE, LDR, and IER have a no significant significance so that the variables have a low potential in making a discriminatory variable.Keywords: CAMELS, CAR, NPL, BOPO, NPM, ROA, ROE, LDR, IER, Discriminant Analysis, Healthy Bank, and Unhealthy Bank.
