Description AbstractThe purpose of this research is to use the Altman Z score and leverage method to determine and analyze the impact of financial distress on the stock prices of IDX retail companies listed in 2015-2019. In this study, there are two independent variables used to measure stock prices, namely, the use of Altman Z-Score agency financial distress and the use of agency debt to equity ratio leverage. The dependent variable in this study is the stock price. The population of this study is all retail companies listed on IDX from 2015 to 2019. There are 27 companies in total. The sample of this study uses a purposeful sampling technique, that is, the sample members are selected according to certain criteria and the sample size is 20. Retail company. The data collection method used is the documentation method, that is, by recording or recording the data contained in the financial statements on the (IDX).The data analysis technique used in this study is simple linear regression. The results show that the financial distress variable using the Altman z scoring method has a positive and significant impact on stock prices. Leverage variables have a negative and insignificant impact on stock prices. Keywords : Financial Distress (Altman Z-Score), Leverage, Stock Prices
