Description Literature is one of the important things in English foreign learning. Poetry can bean effective way of English language teaching. This research focuses on how poetry can be enhancing a student’s vocabulary. To the analysis of the data, the researcher useda qualitative approach. In this research, to get some data and information which accurate, the researcher used observation and interview. There were ten interviewees in this research. There were six questions for the interviewee has been validated. There were nine poems used to enhance a student’s vocabulary. The result of this research reveals that poetry can be improving a student’s vocabulary.            Keywords: Vocabulary, Poetry,  EFL
