Description  Writing is often considered as a complicated learning by means of some techniques and preparation. So that, writing should be practices and learned gradually by the students, the students also need time to study and doing exercise more to improve this skill. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental. In this research, sample took into two classes were taken from X IPS 1 and X IPS 2 from MA Al Hidayah Wajak. Both groups were given a pretest to see the students’ initial writing achievement before the treatments were given. The result of normality in pretest and posttest is normal using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test used with α = 0.05. The data was catagorized normally distributed if the value of p > α. the sig. value of pre-test control and experimental in the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test .952 and .493. Test results are known that sig. value is greater than 0.05. Then, the result of test of homogeniety of variance was .084 was higher than 0.05. it means that the sample of variance is homogenous. The value of Sig. is lower than significant level (0.00 < 0.05), then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. In other words, there is a significant difference in the writing ability between the students who were taught by using peer feedback and they who were not taught by using peer feedback. Keywords: Writing, Descriptive Text, Peer Feedback
