Description AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol materi SPLDV kelas VIII  dan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan desain sequential explanatory. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis true eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa  kelas VIII SMPN 2 Camplong. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran matematika realistik dengan strategi heuristik vee dan kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui soal tes. Teknik analisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji dua pihak. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Pemilihan subjek wawancara menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data kuantitatif nilai posttest pemahaman konsep kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menggunakan software SPSS 25 masing-masing diperoleh nilai Sig(2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 dan 0,001 < 0,0, sehingga ditolak. Berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil data wawancara menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian indikator kelompok eksperimen lebih menguasai daripada kelompok kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data kuantitaif dan kualitatif dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil analisis data penelitian kualitatif dapat mendukung, melengkapi dan memperkuat hasil analisis data penelitian kuantitatif.Kata Kunci: Pemahaman konsep, Pemecahan masalah matematis, Model pembelajaran matematika realistik, Strategi heuristik vee AbstrakThis study aims to determine whether there are differences in understanding of concepts and mathematical problem-solving abilities of students between the experimental class and SPLDV grade VIII material control and to describe the results of quantitative and qualitative data analysis. This study uses a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. This study uses a true type of experiment with the population of all eighth grade students of SMPN 2 Camplong. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique, obtained class VIII-A as an experimental class with a realistic mathematics learning model with vee heuristic strategy and class VIII-B as a control class with conventional models. Quantitative data were obtained through test questions. The analysis technique uses normality test and two-party test. Qualitative data were obtained from interviews, observations, and field notes. The selection of interview subjects used a purposive sampling technique. Based on quantitative data analysis the posttest value of understanding the concept of mathematical problem solving ability using SPSS 25 software each obtained Sig (2-tailed) = 0,000 <0.05 and 0.001 <0.0, so that  is rejected. Means that there are significant differences in the understanding of concepts and students' mathematical problem solving abilities between the experimental and control classes. The results of the interview data indicate that the achievement of the experimental group indicators is more controlling than the control group. Based on the results of quantitative and qualitative data analysis it can be concluded that the results of qualitative research data analysis can support, complement and strengthen the results of quantitative research data analysis.Keywords: Concept understanding, Mathematical problem solving, Realistic mathematics learning models, Heuristic vee strategies
