Description AbstrakPerkawinan menimbulkan hubungan hukum dan akibat hukum antara kedua orang yaitu antara suami dan istri beserta keluarga dari suami dan keluarga dari istri. Indonesia mempunyai dua jenis perkawinan yang dilegalkan yaitu perkawinan monogami dan perkawinan poligami. Salah satu permasalahan serius yang ditimbulkan karena perkawinan poligami adalah kewarisan. Dalam perkawinan poligami jika suami menjadi pewaris maka ahli warisnya adalah istri, istri kedua dan selanjutnya, anak dari istri pertama dan selanjutnya beserta anak angkat jika ada. Seperti pada kasus putusan Pengadilan Tinggi Agama Banten Nomor: 17/Pdt.G/2012/PTA.Btn.Kata Kunci: Hak Waris, Perkawinan Poligami, Anak Angkat, Anak Kandung AbstractMarriage creates a legal relationship and legal consequences between the two people, namely the husband and wife and the family of the husband and the family of the wife. Indonesia has two types of marriages that are legalized, namely monogamous marriages and polygamous marriages. One of the serious problems caused by polygamous marriage is inheritance. In a polygamous marriage, if the couple becomes the heir, the heirs will be the wife, the second wife and subsequently, the children of the first wife and the adopted children if any.
