Introduction: Soursop leaves (Annona muricata.L) has a potential effect to improve lipid profiles. The aim of this study was to prove the effect of soursop leaves water extract toward the collagen area of renal artery sinister and diameter of glomerular renal sinister in male wistar rats induced by high fat and fructose diet (HFFD).Method: Design of study was a post test group control only. The experiment used 25 male wistar rats aged 8-10 weeks with an initial body weight 150-200 grams. Rats were divided into 5 groups ; negative control, positive control, treatment 1 (100mg / kg B.W.), treatment 2 (200mg / kg B.W.), treatment 3 (400mg / kg B.W.). The HFFD diet was given for 10 weeks to induce dyslipidemia. The negative control was given a normal diet. The administration of soursoup leaves water extract and HFFD diet are for 10 weeks. At the end of the study, observation collagen area of renal artery sinister was evaluated with microscope at 5 areas and diameter of glomerular renal sinister was at 10 areas . Data analysis used one way ANOVA and LSD with a significance level at P<0.05.Results: The HFFD diet significantly increased collagen area of renal artery sinister and enlarged diameter of glomerular renal sinister (P<0.05). The administration of 200mg/ kg B.W.) of soursop leaves water extract significantly reduced area collagen of renal artery sinister compared to Positive Control. Soursoup leaves water extract dose of 200 mg/kg B.W and 400 mg/kg B.W significantly reduced the glomerular diameter of renal sinister compared to Positive Control.Conclusion: Soursop leaves water extract inhibits vascular atherosclerosis and reduces kidney damage induced by HFFD.
