Description Introduction: Wounds incision are form damage of tissue caused by a sharp object. Aloe vera L. is a herb that has an effect on wound healing by affecting monosit and macrophage. This study was conducted to prove the effect of leaf juice of Aloe vera L. on the number of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages skin incision on male wistar rat’s.Method: This research was laboratory experimental in vivo control group post test only design. Animals trial used male wistar rats aged 2-3 months (n=25) which were divided KN group (without treatment), KP group (Iodine cream), treatment group in Aloe vera juice (concentration 20%, 40%and 80% with a dose of 0.5 g / rat / day given topically for 6 days). The wound rats model was given wound of 2 cm long and a depth of 0, 2 cm used scalpel. A number of blood monocyte was calculated by absorbtion and spectrophotometry on the results of complete blood tests and tissue macrophages were observed by staining (Hematoxylin Eosin) using microscope at 400x magnification. Data analysis using One Way ANOVA (p <0.05).Results: Aloe vera juice with no significant results can increase the number of blood monocytes on level 8% (5,40±1,673), 20% (6,00±2,915), 36% (6,80±2,387) compared to giving iodine (p> 0.5). As significantly increase the number of tissue macrophage jaringan 0,5x (5,53±0,60), 1x (7,93±0,863) dan 1,8x (10,86±2,20) compared to giving iodine (p <0.05).Conclusion: The leaf juice of aloe vera in all concentrations weren’t be able to influenced the number of blood monocytes but were be able to influenced the number of tissue macrophages skin incision on male wistar rats.Keywords: Incision Wounds, Wound Healing, Aloe vera, Monocytes, Macrophages
