Description ABSTRACTIntroduction: Cancer is abnormal uncontrolled growth of cells. The cancer patient suffer  physical, psychic, and social distrubance that descrease the quality of life. Methods that increase the quaily of life were palliative care. In the healthcare service there was a doctor-patient communication.  But, the study about the effect of doctor-patient communication and healthcare services on quality of life in cancer patients were rarely studied. So, further research about the effet of  doctor-patient communication and healthcare services on quality of life in cancer patients is needed.Method:  A descriptive analitic cross-sectional method. Sample were 50 cancer patient in General Hospital Dr. Saiful Anwar. Quality of life from the patient were analyzed by using EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire. Doctor-Patient Communication and palliative care of health sevices were analyzed by using FAMCARE-Patient and Patient-Health Care Provider Communication Scale Based On Patients’Perspective. Data were analyzed each domain in quality of cancer patient. The effect were analized by correlation test with significance level (p <0,05).Result: The value EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire on global health status, functional scale, symptom scale domain average were 63,67± 19,61; 83,06±6,17; and 14,98±9,30. Doctor-patient communication correlated on quality of life in cancer patients (p 0,749) (p <0,05)(r 0,046) and palliative care of health sevices has no correlation with quality of life in cancer patients (p 0,993) (p >0,05) (r 0,001).Conclusion:  Doctor-patient and healthcare services show a non-significant effect and a weak correlation on the quality.Keywords: Doctor-Patient Communication, Healthcare Services, Quality of Life, Cancer patients
