Description Introduction: Sepsis is an inflammatory condition that occurs throughout the body caused by an infection. Sepsis is the most common disease that results in mortality one of the risks is age. Patient age affects mortality rates One of the examinations in septic patients is laboratory examination, in which laboratory examination is influenced by gender.Method: Descriptive cross sectional using medical record data on patients with a diagnosis of sepsis at Kanjuruhan Hospital Kepanjen Malang, the data taken were patients in the period of 2016 to 2018 and the data were presented with descriptive method and odds ratio. Laboratory results data are examinations taken on the first day the patient is hospitalized at Kanjuruhan Kepanjen HospitalResults: The relationship between age and sex differences in mortality rates in septic patients was not significant (p> 0.05)Conclusion: There is an insignificant relationship between age and sex on mortality.
