Description AbstrakBackground drug abuse among Indonesian teenagers has increased. Data obtained by UNDOC (United Nations Office On Drug And Crime), ages 10-16 years are vulnerable to problems with the introduction and abuse of drugs. Then it takes an appropriate education in preventing drug abuse in children aged 10-12 years by giving a proper psycho-education. The selection of Islamic elementary school is a school that implements the concept of Islamic education based on the Qur'an and As-Sunnah with the process of civilization, inheritance, and development of Islamic teachings, culture and Islamism and integrates general education and religious education, and is expected with the provision of psychoeducation in these school students, that already have talent, a strong foundation of good things and labor, so that children can easily follow the psychoeducation process.Methods: This research uses in true experimental design with independt sample t-test design. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption test and hypothesis test. Samples were taken at one Islamic school in Malang in February 2019 until March 2019 with 4 meetingsResults: The results showed that the application of psychoeducation therapy had a significant effect on knowledge, motivation, and attitudes in children aged 10-12 years regarding the dangers of drug abuses. Statistics data on all variables showed that the value of p <0.05 and t-count was greater, than t -table on knowledge (4,299> 2,000), motivation 4,898> 2,000, behaviors (6,212> 2,000).Keywords: psychoeducation, knowledge, motivation, behavioral changes, drug abuse and children aged 10-12 years.
