Description Introduction: Hyperlipidemia can cause hepatic disorders due to fatty liver disease. Soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.)are known for having the potential as the antihyperlipidemic and antioxidant. The purpose of this study is to determinethe effects of soursop leaves waterextract (SLWE) to SGOT and SGPT serum levels and the amount of liver necrosis cell on male Wistar rats which are induced by high fat and fructose diet (HFFD).Method: The design of this study is an experimental laboratory with in vivo post test control group only. The experiment uses 25 male Wistar rats, ranging from 8-10 weeks oldand the initial weight of 175-200g. The rats are divided into 5 groups, namely;negative control (KN), positive control (KP), treatment 1 (doses 100mg/kg B.W), treatment 2 (doses 200mg/kg B.W), and treatment 3 (doses 300mg/kg B.W). The HFFDand SLWEare given for 10 weeks to induce hiperlipidemia. The negative control is given a normal diet. SGOT and SGPT serum levels will be measured by using colorimetric method with 340nm wavelengths on spectrophotometer. The evaluation of liver necrosis cell will use the trinocular microscope on 15 areas that are divided into 3 zones. Data analysis will use one wayANOVA and Tukeywith p<0,05significance level.Result: SGPT serum level and the amount of liver necrosis cell of all treatment groups shows no relation to the HFFD.  The addition of 200mg/ kgB.W. of soursop leaves water extractsignificantly reducesthe SGOT serum levelby 45U/L (p<0,05).Conclusion:Soursop leaves water extract  has the potential as a hepatoprotector by preventing the increase in liver cell necrosis and elevated serum SGPT level and reduces serum SGOT level in hyperlipidemic rats. Keywords: hyperlipidemia, soursop leaves water extract, SGOT serum, SGPT serum, and liver necrosis cell
