Description Introduction: Long-term use of NSAIDs (Non-Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) often causes peptic ulceration through the mechanism of inhibition of COX-1 and increased Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS). ROS triggers oxidative stress conditions that can be characterized by decrease SOD and increase MDA gastric level. Flavonoid compounds in the soursop leaf infusion extract (Annona muricata Linn) have antioxidant activity. This study to prove the effect of soursop leaf infusion extract on SOD and MDA levels induced-indomethacin gastric rats.Method: Laboratory experimental research with control group design post test only in vivo using female wistar rats aged 8-10 weeks. The experimental group consisted of negative control (KN), indomethacin-induced positive control (KP) and the treatment group which was given soursop and indomethacin leaf infusion extracts (P1, P2, P3). Infusa is given for 7 days at a dose of 100 mg / kgb.wt, 200 mg / kgb.wt, 400 mg / kgb.wt. SOD and MDA gaster were measured through NBT and TBA resistance tests using colorimetric method with a spectrophotometer with a wavelength of 580 nm and 586 nm. Data analysis use One Way ANOVA test followed by Post Hoc LSD Test (p <0.05).Results: The results showed there were significant differences in SOD and MDA gastric levels between KP with P1 and P2 (p <0.05). Infusion at P1, P2 and P3 was able to increase SOD gastric levels sequentially by 1½, 1 ¼ and ½ times and also able to decrease MDA gastric levels in P1 and P2 sequentially by ¼ and 1/5 times compared to KP while MDA levels in P3 increased by 1/5 times compared to KP.Conclusion: Soursop leaf infusion extract was able to increase SOD and decrease MDA gastric level at dose of 100 mg / kgb. wt and 200 mg / kgb. wt.
