Description Introduction: Sepsis is a collection of clinical symptoms caused by excessive reactions from the body's immune response triggered by bacteria in the body. The diagnosis of sepsis can be established in the presence of evidence of infection that can be known by examination of blood cultures. Periodic examination of vital signs and complete blood laboratory is carried out for the development of patients taht can influence to hospitalization period on sepsis patient.Method: This study is a descriptive analytic study using a cross sectional design using medical records of patients diagnosed with sepsis in the Kanjuruhan Hospital of Kepanjen Malang Regency in the period of January 2016 to June 2018. Data taken from the initial vital signs (pulse, temperature, breathing frequency, and BP) and complete blood laboratory (HB, hematocrit, MCV, MCHC, MCH, erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets). This study was analyzed using Odd Ratio with significant results if p <0.05 and logistic regression analysis to determine future predictors of care with significant values p <0,05.Results: Patients with sepsis are more common in female patients over the age of 18 years. The results obtained from complete and vital laboratory tests were not significant (p > 0,05) with the hospitalization period, except for the respiratory rate parameters with a p value 0,036. Likewise in the logistic regression results where vital signs and laboratories are not significant value with a p > 0,05 except the respiratory rate parameter with a p value 0,023.Conclusion: The results of the calculation of vital signs and complete blood laboratory parameters did not have a significant correlation with the hospitalization period of sepsis patients except in respiratory rate parameters, and vital signs and laboratory results could not be used as predictors except for respiratory rate parameters.
