Description In general, this study aims to determine how the efforts of the principal of madrasah in improving the quality of education with leadership based on religious culture at MI Al-Fattah Malang. This study used qualitative research methods. The research data collection was conducted using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The findings of this study are: 1) The efforts of the Principal of Madrasahs in improving the quality of education with religious culture-based leadership are currently carrying out various new innovations by implementing a boarding school-based curriculum, developing religious culture, in every coaching they always invite teachers to always fear Allah SWT. 2) Leadership based on religious culture can improve the quality of education through positive attitudes and behaviors shown by the MI Al-Fattah school principal capable of influencing the quality of education in MI Al-Fattah starting from student achievement both academically and non-academically in the field, performance, abilities and attitudes of educators and education personnel. 3) Obstacles faced by the principal of MI Al-Fattah school, namely: Lack of facilities and infrastructure for the welfare of teachers that are still not in accordance with the demands of the madrasa, lack of teacher skills in the field of technology, lack of student awareness of the religious culture applied at MI Al-Fattah City Poor
