Description Learning activities will run smoothly and make students happy if accompanied by interest in learning. Several factors that influence interest in learning, namely independence and learning environment. As for the low independence of students' learning where students are reluctant to look for material outside what is described by the teacher and many students still apply learning methods only when approaching exams and even cheating. Based on the above background, the formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an influence of independent learning and learning environment on the learning interest of students in class VB MI Bustanul Ulum Batu. And the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of learning independence and learning environment on student interest in class 5B MI Bustanul Ulum Batu. This research is a comparative causal research, also an Ex-post facto research, using a quantitative approach. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet. Data collection methods used are questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between learning independence on students' interest in learning with tcount 5,489 > ttable 2,032 and the learning environment on students' interest in learning with tcount 4,149 > ttable 2,032. There is also a positive and significant effect of learning independence and learning environment together on student interest in learning with Fcount 65.752 > Ftable 0.325.
