Description Motivation in students is very important for the success of teaching and learning activities, because successful or not requires learning that depends on the motivation demanded by students who learn, therefore, the challenge of low student motivation needs to be increased by the teacher by using the necessary assistance done in order to achieve a goal, whether it is an effort in terms of the ability to teach students in school and increase teacher competency itself in teaching, teachers not only deliver material, but teachers must also educate and guide and provide results that can be obtained by students. The results showed (1) The condition of student learning motivation at MTs Hasyim Asy'ari is quite good, because on average students have high learning motivation in learning, compilation of teachers can create interesting and fun learning, even though there are still students who are level His motivation was still low and he paid little attention to the compilation of teachers explaining the subject matter. (2) Efforts made by Islamic religious education teachers MTs Hasyim Asy'ari exist by creating pleasant classes, using various interesting learning methods, learning outside the classroom, giving gifts, fostering competition among students, giving numbers, giving praise, members ,, punished. (3) Factors that cause low student learning motivation are divided into two, first is intrinsic factor and second is extrinsic factor. Intrinsic factors are factors that originate within students Teacher as debated: intelligence, interests and talents of students, physical and psychological health, while extrinsic factors are factors that originate from outside the student or the influence of the learning environment, environment: family first and foremost in influencing, community environment, school environment and the influence of social media.
