Description Sayyid Muhammad Al-Maliki Al-Hasani is one of ulama’ Ahlus sunnah Wal Jamaah who dedicated his whole life to improves Islamic education. His books are living all the time. they are not limited of the times and worthy of being studied by anyone and anytime. Author focuses on study of Sayyid Muhammad's thoughts, his character development model and how he applied of character development model according on another perspective. To achieve the objectives, the research is done with the library study research. Data collection is done using documentation methods and content analysis which related to the object. Based on the research has done, the ideal character development model is a madrasah or educational institution that support its learners to achieve the competencies, whether in terms of methods, curriculum or programs, educators, school environment and facilities. In applying the character development model using the methods that have been used by the Prophet Muhammad. He said, humans are born with intellect and lust. To control their lust and optimize the intellect they needs character development. Hopefully educational institutions optimize their methods, programs, and facilities better that can support the learners in achieving the competencies especially character development.Keywords: Character development model, Sayyid Muhammad bin Alawy Al-Maliki Al-Hasani
