Description In the curriculum of the Thoriqotun Najah Islamic Boarding School Pagentan Singosari Malang, fiqh is a compulsory subject of the diniyah madrasas using the book Al-Ghayah wa At-Taqrib. But there are still many who make mistakes in the practice of purification, even though the thaharah chapter has been studied in grade II classes. This study uses a qualitative approach and field research. While the research instruments are key instruments, supporting instruments, interview guidelines, and recording / writing instruments. In addition, the data collection techniques that the authors did were observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data is processed using descriptive-analytical analysis. After that, a credibility test is carried out to check the validity of the findings, namely by making deep observations, triangulation, and peer discussions.The results of this study are the learning of the book Al-Ghayah wa At-Taqrib conducted at the hour after the ashar for 60 minutes. Teachers use several methods, including bandongan, question and answer and discussion. The learning evaluation of this book is carried out on every national and final exam. The understanding of santri about thaharah varies, from low to high. But there are still obstacles, both internally and externally, such as the lack of basic reading skills, motivation to improve the material that has been taught, and the lack of learning time of the books.
