Description This research discusses Babo's Role in the Development of Islamic Education in Southern Thailand (Case Study at Thamvitaya Mulniti Yala School). Leadership research emphasizes the approach to traits, behavior, power and influence, and situations that are still one-way. The perspective of the organization as a social system has provided a cultural dimension as an important part that influences the effectiveness of leadership. From this it was born rationale that effective leadership in an organization is strongly influenced by the values, beliefs and behavior of leaders which are manifested in organizational life in a broad sense. Babo as a central figure who becomes a role model for society, of course, every lifestyle will be imitated by his students or followers. For this reason, a Babo in carrying out his noble duties in an Islamic educational institution must prioritize professionalism so that an institution he leads has characteristics and is able to become the center of civilization. The aims of this research are: 1. Knowing Babo's Existence; 2. The form of Babo's role in developing Islamic education; and 3. Barriers faced by Babo in developing Islamic education at Thamvitaya Mulniti Yala School in Southern Thailand and how Kata Kunci: Babo’s Role, Islamic Education, Southern Thailand.
