Description This study aims to determine the efforts of teachers in increasing the motivation that exists in class VII students of MTs Al-Ma'arif 02 Singosari. The problems faced by students are still very lacking in learning because many students use gadgets, which increasingly affect students in their learning, from the surrounding environment, wrong in association, lack of attention from parents in learning students. The research location located in the MTs Al-Ma'arif 02 Singosari school located on the street Sidorejo No. 55 Singosari Malang Regency. In this study used is a qualitative method, where documents are obtained based on the results of interviews, observation, and documentation. Which is analyzed by document reduction, document presentation, conclusion drawing. From the results of this study indicate that the motivation that exists in students is still lacking so that the teacher seeks to increase motivation in students with strategies, methods, giving rewards and penalties. While the supporting factors in motivation to learn are the facilities that support the learning process such as LCD and writing, rewards, and a high level of interest in learning. inhibiting factors for the background of students who come from broken home families, poor moral condition, wrong relationships, and low levels of interest.
