Description The purpose of this study is to find out the citizenship status of Indonesian Citizens who join the ISIS group by reviewing several theories, where the researcher examines the positive law that is regulations of the applicable laws. The research method used is normative juridical or literature in this legal research. Normative legal research method or library (Library Research) is a method or way of researching library materials. Primary legal material collection techniques that the researcher used is legal studies that are regulated in legislation and it regularly applies in Indonesia. The secondary legal material is by conducting a library study, especially searching the opinion of legal experts, expert theories in the field of citizenship, theses, dissertations and legal journals. The results of the analysis show that Indonesian citizens who join ISIS do not necessarily lose their citizenship status. Keywords: Nationality, Status, Citizenship
