Description ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to identify the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of local goats in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. The number of samples observed were 50 tails, female sex, and adult age. The research method is descriptive by collecting detailed data relating to the qualitative and quantitative nature of Gorontalo local goats. The qualitative nature of the data obtained was analyzed descriptively by calculating the frequency of phenotypes and quantitative traits by calculating the average value, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation. The results obtained by Gorontalo local goat hair color is black (14%), white (8%), brown (32%), black and white combination (22%), dark brown combination (8%). Most Gorontalo local goats have horns (94%) and ear shapes at most half dangling (88%). Adult Gorontalo local female goat body weight is 33.81 kg, head length 14.84 cm, head width 12.35 cm, head height 14.86 cm, ear length 22.18 cm, ear width 10.23 cm, body length 68.21 cm, chest width 14.54 cm, shoulder height 67.89 cm, chest circumference 75.97 cm, chest 25.95 cm, canon circumference 12.55 cm. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to conduct an action study in the form of experimental research so that the goat can be farmed in all places and easily adaptable. Keywords: Qualitative Traits; Quantitative Traits; Local Goats.
