In the learning activities the teacher always gives examples of how to solve a problem without providing many opportunities for students to try to find its own solution, but every student has the ability to respond or solve problems in a different way. One way to identify the accuracy of the students' response to the problem or a math problem is with the SOLO taxonomy. SOLO taxonomy played in determining the quality of students' response to the problems faced. The SOLO taxonomy is used to measure the quality of the students responses to a problem based on the complexity of understanding or students' response to a given problem. In the SOLO taxonomy student response capabilities are grouped into five levels, namely pre - structural, unistructural, multistructural, relational and extended abstract. Therefore, researcher wanted to know how the quality of students' response to the mathematical problems into perspective SOLO taxonomy is. The research was conducted in class VII Ma'Arif 7 Shoots Lamongan. The study population was all students of class VII Ma'Arif 7 Shoots Lamongan in sum of 28 students and a sample taken six students. The study is aimed to determine the quality of students' response to the mathematical problems into perspective SOLO taxonomy. Methods of data collection in this study use the test and interview. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. After the data were analyzed, it is known that two students classified unistructural level, two students classified multistructural level, two students classified as relational level, and no student is classified at the level prastructural and extended abstract level.
