Description The purpose of this study was 1) to determine the student's interest in learning 2) to determine the readiness to be a student teacher 3) to determine the influence of interest on the readiness to become a student professional teacher. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of survey research. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by statistical calculations with the help of the SPSS 16 computer program for windows, describing the data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are the learning interest of PGMI students of 2016 Islamic University of Malang average of the medium category with a large percentage of 50%, the level of readiness to become a professional teacher is a very good category with a large percentage of 35%, the results of the hypothesis test indicate that there is an influence of interest in learning towards the readiness to become a teacher professional students of Madarsah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education class of 2016 Islamic University of Malang with a percentage of 28%.
